This is a summary of how we look after personal data on the platform. The full privacy notice is at learn.creativeeducation.co.uk/privacy.
What we hold. Your name and email address, how you sign in, your job role if you give it, the organisations you belong to, your courses and certificates, what you write in reflections, and your membership and payment records. We don't hold card details (Stripe does), and we don't ask for protected characteristics. We don't use your data to train AI.
Who's responsible. Creative Education is responsible for your account and your learning record, which stays with you when you change school. Your school is responsible for the training it asks you to do, and we keep those records on its behalf.
Where it's stored. Our database is in London. Files added as evidence of training done elsewhere are kept in a private store in Stockholm. The privacy notice lists the companies that process data for us. They include Vercel (hosting), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Vimeo (videos) and HubSpot (help chat, only if you accept its cookies). Where data goes to the US, it's covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
Who can see it. Admins at your school can see the training you do for the school while you work there. When our support staff look at your account to help you, they can't change anything, and it's recorded in a log your school can see.
How long we keep it. Accounts nobody has used for three years, with no current access, are deleted. We email first, and delete 30 days later unless you sign in. If you delete your account, your school keeps your name, the course and the date for six years as safeguarding evidence.
For schools and trusts. Our trust page at www.creativeeducation.co.uk/trust says who is responsible for your staff's data, where it's held, the companies we use and how long we keep things. Our data processing agreement is part of our terms, so it applies to every organisation membership without signing.
