About this course
Some days at school are hard because of the workload. Others are hard in a different way: you know what's right for a child and can't do it, or you're asked to act in a way that doesn't sit right. In healthcare that's called moral distress, and it's a big reason people burn out.
Knowing your core values helps you make sense of that feeling and do something about it. With a simple values wheel, you'll choose eight values that matter to you, score how fully you can live each one at work, and see where the gaps are. Then you'll pick one small step to close the biggest.
For leaders there's more. A former headteacher describes how her school built a culture around values the whole community chose, and why adults modelling them every day made the real difference.
- For early career teachers, governors and 6 other roles. All phases.
