About this course

Wellbeing is usually the first thing to slide when term gets busy. People in schools think hard about children's wellbeing and hardly at all about their own, and the reason is nearly always time. So everything here fits around the day you already have.

There are four areas: sleep, your daily routine, self-care habits and doing things just for fun. Treat yourself like a toddler at bedtime. Keep a notepad by the bed for 3am worries. Do the hardest job of the day first. Tie a new habit to something you do anyway, like waiting for the kettle. Take up something you're rubbish at, purely because you enjoy it.

After each area you pick one tiny step to commit to, so you finish with a short list of things to try tomorrow rather than a vague good intention.

  • For early career teachers, governors and 6 other roles. All phases.
