About this course
Recovery from an eating disorder takes a long time. A young person can look physically well long before the psychological healing is done, so the adults around them need to keep going too, well after treatment ends. That's hard when your own plate is already full.
This part is about you. Grab a pen and paper. You'll draw a plate and fill it with everything you're responsible for. Then you'll circle what could change by just 1%, like a walk round the block twice a week rather than a plan to run a marathon. You'll also think about where your stress spills over, whether that's snapping at colleagues or at home, and what fills you back up.
There are pointers to the five ways to wellbeing, a wellbeing action plan and support services for people working in education, for when you need more.
- For early career teachers, mental health leads and 5 other roles. All phases. England, International, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
