About this course
There are odd minutes in every school day: waiting at the door for assembly, the gap between lessons, the last stretch before home time. They're often when a class is at its most unsettled.
Sound healing turns those minutes into a chance to calm down. You'll get a set of minute-long "mindful musical moments" to play straight to your class, each built around one instrument or the voice. Children put a finger on their chin and move it to their nose when the singing bowl's note fades, shake off the morning with bells, or hum and notice where they feel it. The ocean drum, chimes and a gong are in there too.
Use the videos as they are, or as a starting point for your own with the percussion you already have. Once the routine is familiar, a different child can be in charge of the sounds each day.
- For early career teachers, middle leaders and 4 other roles. Early years, primary and special.
