About this course
When a complaint lands, an inspector is in the building and everyone's exhausted, it's easy to decide things out of fear or anger. Those are usually the decisions leaders regret.
Leading with love and compassion is harder than it sounds, and this session makes it practical. Learn what triggers you and why, so you can pause before you respond. Build a team you can be honest with when you're struggling, in school and beyond it. Model the behaviour you want to see, which gives you the standing to challenge what falls short. And learn from each mistake once, instead of carrying the guilt around.
The lessons come from a headteacher with nearly 10 years in the job, including taking on a school in serious debt and facing special measures. Some of them were learnt the expensive way.
- For early career teachers, governors and 5 other roles. All phases.
