About this course
Six colleagues in an hour-long meeting is six hours gone. Quite often those hours go on a meeting that's only in the diary because it always has been, with an agenda handed out at the door.
You'll learn to make each meeting earn its place, starting with whether you need it at all. Give it a purpose you could explain in 30 seconds, invite only the people who need to be there, and send a timed agenda early enough for everyone to prepare. In the room, start on time even if someone's missing, ask the most junior people for their view before the senior ones, and bank good tangents for later so they don't take over.
It takes a bit more of your time up front. Everyone else gets theirs back.
- For early career teachers, governors and 5 other roles. All phases.
