About this course
You teach classes all day, yet the thought of presenting to a room of adults at a conference or training day can tie you in knots. Most of the fear is about what might go wrong.
Plan with the questions an experienced keynote speaker asks before every talk. What do you need to know about the audience and the room? What will you do if the projector dies, or someone asks a question you can't answer? How much can you really cover? Less than you think. If people leave with three things they'll do differently, that's a good hour. You'll plan an opening that isn't a sound check or your life story, and an ending people remember.
And you'll present as yourself. If you're funny with your classes, you can be funny with adults too.
- For early career teachers, governors and 5 other roles. All phases.
