About this course
Why do some children come through real hardship and cope, when others struggle? A project with Health Education England and YoungMinds looked at what those children had in common, and found four things.
They became the 4Ps: parents (or another trusted adult), peers, problem solving and passion. You'll learn what each one looks like in practice, and why a few close friendships, or short moments of real attention, count for more than quantity. Then you put them to work. Write a child's name in the middle of a page and note the strengths and the gaps under each P.
It works for one child or a whole class. You'll come away with the action planning template, plus the workshop slides if you want to share the approach with colleagues.
- For early career teachers, governors and 6 other roles. All phases.
