About this course

Ask anyone what helps them through a bad day and they'll usually have an answer. Remembering it in the middle of a bad week, or when the routine of term stops for the holidays, is another matter.

A wellbeing action plan gets it written down before you need it. You'll build it one section at a time. There's a healthy coping toolbox (a scented hand cream can do more than you'd think), the daily routines around sleep, food and self-care that keep you steady, and the traps to avoid, like compare and despair. Then come your own early warning signs, and who to share the plan with.

It works as well for a pupil you're worried about as it does for you, and the conversation you have while writing it together matters as much as the plan. There are templates and slides to download.

  • For early career teachers, governors and 6 other roles. All phases.
