About this course

Working in education is rewarding, and it's tiring in a way that builds up. Workload, safeguarding worries and pupils' own mental health all take a toll, and self-care is usually the first thing that slips.

The answer here isn't another thing to fit into your day. You'll work out where you are on the mental health continuum right now and what moves you either way. Then you'll build a personal wellbeing action plan: what keeps you well, your own early warning signs, and what to do when you start to struggle. Along the way come habits that fit into what you're already doing, like eating lunch mindfully or using the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique in a meeting without anyone knowing.

You'll also know where to turn if things get harder, from Education Support to Hub of Hope.

  • For early career teachers, middle leaders and 5 other roles. All phases.
