Accessibility statement

Creative Education Learning
This statement is for Creative Education Learning at learn.creativeeducation.co.uk: the course catalogue, courses, certificates, and the Manage and Studio areas. It does not cover www.creativeeducation.co.uk, which has its own statement.
Creative Education runs this website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. You should be able to:
- change colours, contrast and fonts using your browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- use most of the site with only a keyboard, or with speech recognition software
- use most of the site with a screen reader
- watch course videos with captions, or read a transcript instead
- use the site in light or dark mode, following your device
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
The site has been tested with automated tools only. It has not yet had a manual audit or been tested by screen reader users. Some parts may not be fully accessible, and some have not yet been checked:
- Sign-in and account creation use forms from Clerk, our sign-in provider. We have styled them but have not yet checked them with a screen reader or a keyboard alone.
- Course videos play in Vimeo's player. Some captions and transcripts were made automatically and may have wrong words, especially names. Each transcript says when it was made automatically. We have not yet checked that every video has captions.
- Certificates you download or print as PDFs have not yet been checked with a screen reader.
- The help chat, when it is switched on, is provided by HubSpot and we do not control it. It has not yet been checked.
- Recorded webinars from before 2020 have not yet been checked for captions, transcripts or other problems.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Creative Education is not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to it directly. We follow them because the schools, trusts and councils who use this website are public bodies.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, because of the problems and the unchecked parts listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
These parts have not yet been checked by hand, so we cannot say whether they meet the standard:
- the Clerk sign-in and account creation forms
- certificate PDFs
- the HubSpot help chat
- captions on every course video
- recorded webinars from before 2020
Disproportionate burden
We are not claiming disproportionate burden for anything on this website.
Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
The regulations do not cover recorded video published before 23 September 2020. We have not yet checked which of our recorded webinars that applies to.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We check the site in these ways:
- Every component has an automated accessibility test (axe) against WCAG 2.2 AA before it is used on a page.
- Every page opened by our check after each release is scanned with axe, and a serious or critical problem fails the check.
- Every pairing of text and background colour is tested for contrast, in light and dark mode.
- Status is never shown by colour alone: Overdue, Complete and the rest are written in words, with a shape.
- Every page has a skip link, a main heading and landmarks. Focus moves to an error when a form is refused.
- Forms work with JavaScript switched off.
- Pinch zoom is never switched off, and animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The page language is set to British English, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Course videos have captions in the player and a transcript under “Read the transcript”. Nothing plays on its own.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 30 September 2026. It was last reviewed on 12 October 2026.
This website is tested automatically by Creative Education, against WCAG 2.2 AA, every time it changes: axe on every component and on every page our release check opens, and colour contrast in light and dark mode. It has not had a manual audit or screen reader testing yet.
How we handle your details is in the privacy notice.
